Replaced nmap with netstat for determining if local port is in use.ĭisclaimer: I'm no shell script expert. # Try to create tunnel if port is not already in use SYSTRAYCMD="ksystraycmd -hidden -window '$ # Check for ksystraycmd, which creates an icon in the system tray on kde WINDOWTITLE="tunnel to extern computer $$" Also the tunnel, and all connections using it, can be closed using this icon. This means a symbol in the system tray indicates whether a tunnel is open. (If you need password to log on, remove -hidden option from ksystraycmd in the script.) This xterm is hidden and replaced with an sysetm tray icon using ksystraycmd.
